Indirect Material Procurements Buyer response to purchase indirect material including but not limited; tooling, equipment, facility supply related, construction projects, consultants, IT related hardware/software for factories, Korat and Teparuk plants.
About the role - you will:
• Multinational support to foreign users mostly located in the USA
• Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions
• Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, service providers and various internal departments to provide goods and services in a quality, cost-effective and timely manner
• Processes Request for Quotation, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Agreement and change requests if any
• Responsible for procurement of business system data input and integrity
• Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, supplier database information, error report analysis and supplier information
• Performs cost analysis and work with requester for volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment, and services)
• Monitors the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned suppliers to negotiate the highest quality at best value
• Develop new supply sources where suppliers are no longer competitive
• Recommend cost-saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing
• Interacts closely with suppliers and quality concerns with related departments to resolve quality issues
• Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing and product availability
• Participate office Lean team and develop work per the Lean concept
About you:
• Be able to work from 3 pm - 12 am
• Well critical thinking skills
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Well negotiating skills to secure reasonable prices
• Fluent in English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good computer skills such as SAP ERP, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint is a must
• Good data analytic, data science and data visualization skills (such as Excel, Knime, Alteryx, Power BI, Python, Tableau) are preferable
